STYLE | CASUAL DATE NIGHT LOOK + THREE DATE IDEAS

Romper: Express | Jacket: Anthropologie | Bag: Coach | Sunnies: Diff Eyewear | Earrings: Baublebar
I'm so excited for February. Next to December, it's my favorite month of the year for one very important/slightly selfish reason: Hello Valentine's Day & Birthday Month! I tend to make an extra effort to let go of some responsibilities and just enjoy some me time, friends time, and soaking up one-on-one time with my husband. It's a month where I really pour into myself, and it's the perfect space to let down from the holiday rush and refresh for spring!
With a little lady, my time to get ready has diminished, so I tend to opt for date night looks that are quick & effortless. Usually 3-4 pieces that make me look polished and pulled together. So when I saw this romper from Express, which combines my top & bottom into one easy to pull on piece, I had to snag it (and for under $35, it's a steal)!
Since it's still a little cool, I paired it with a denim jacket. G asked me to wear these cut-out booties, but I think this look would work so well with some OTK boots in a light beige or grey, too! I pulled it all together with a few simple accessories - namely my Coach 1941 Saddle Bag (back in this color for spring!!! I've had it for a few years now, and it's still perfectly white), some fun tassel earrings, and statement sunnies.
Now that you've got some outfit inspiration, let me give you some date night inspo too! G and I love to keep things fairly casual. Some of our favorite date nights include:
1) Just Champagne & Oysters - We'll head out to a favorite seafood place and get 2 dozen oysters and a bottle of champagne. It's light, fun, and means you're "ready to go" when you get home, if you catch my meaning ;-)
2) Coffee & Cards - We spent our dating years picking a fun place to walk around, then grabbing a cup of coffee and playing cards together. It's the perfect way to soak in a new place & each other.
3) Dinner & a Movie - It's a cliche, but also a classic! We love to pick one of those "fancy theaters" where we can order cocktails and dinner right to our reclining seats and enjoy a movie together. Snuggling and hand-holding are encouraged.
What are some of your favorite casual date nights??
