EFFORTLESS OVERSTATEMENT
I don't know what it is lately, but I have been obsessed with anything over the top. If it's big, bold, bright, or oversized in IN. However, I still want it to be easy. Effortless. I want a big statement with minimal effort. So today I'm rounding up my favorite effortless overstatements that I can't seem to stop wearing.
No. 1 These giant see-through sunglasses
Seriously, these take the cake. I feel like the cool 70's version of myself I never knew I had in there meets Elizabeth Banks circa Charlies Angels. Obsessed is an understatement. And I love that they're see-through. It gives me the chance to go big on the eye makeup underneath and have it seen. Speaking of which....
No. 2 This Armani Mascara
It gives big volume with just a few swipes and lasts all day. It's a delightfully dark black, and it builds feathery lashes that don't cake or clump.
No. 3 Bright pink lips
This has been an obsession for a few spring/summers now. My favorite is Candy Yum Yum by MAC.
No. 4 These sneakers with an obscenely large sole
They are a bit of a splurge, but they've been worth the price for me, especially when I consider cost per wear. I've had these since Christmas and don't imagine I'll stop wearing them any time soon. They're comfy, cute, and easy to keep looking like new with a shout wipe.
As of now, I'm still shopping for a few more overstated items to add to my closet for this season.
