STYLE | SIMPLE STRIPES + THANKFUL

Reader, I have SO MUCH to be thankful for this year. I can't believe that last year I was looking down at a 14 week bump, celebrating that I had made it into the 2nd trimester and away from the constant nausea in time for Thanksgiving. This year has already been so special for us - we're traveling for the holiday, so we had our family Thanksgiving this past weekend, and let me tell you, I had no idea how amazing it would be to share our first Thanksgiving meal as a family of three. I had all the feels.

As always, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on all the things I'm thankful for from this past year.

I'm thankful for Evelyn's safe arrival and the privilege of being this vibrant, joyful, engaging little lady's mommy.

I'm thankful for Gabriel - especially as I remember the ways he loved me, was patient with me, and supported me during pregnancy, birth, and as I navigate the uncharted waters of motherhood.

I'm thankful for our puppies, Chloe and Claire! They are the funniest fur babies, and they bring so much joy and laughter into our home.

I'm thankful for the freedom to pursue Simplicity & Coffee full time, and the (albeit) uncomfortable space to find my voice and my audience in this virtual world.

Finally, I'm thankful for how intentional Jesus has been about pursuing me and asking me to come closer to Him.

They're all such simple things - but so necessary. I think that's one of the beautiful things about growing up. We learn to love simplicity.

That's one of the things I loved about this outfit I'm sharing with today's post, and why I chose to share it in conjunction with Thanksgiving: it's simplicity.

Simple stripes, basic denim, and a few minimalist pieces of meaningful jewelry make this look effortlessly elegant. My necklaces are both from Kate Spade. The Mrs. was a gift from G the day we got married, and the "L" came shortly after, allowing me to wear my new name "Mrs. L" around my neck.

I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving, Reader! Thank you for stopping by, and making Simplicity & Coffee possible!
