NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE HAUL

It's here! The post where I *finally* share everything I snagged at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. In fairness, I was (anxiously!) awaiting the arrival of my online order before sharing, and I'm so glad I did! I am IN LOVE with the boots it contained (the BEST Stuart Weitzman dupes I've tried in 2 years! Seriously. I love them more than the SW's currently part of the sale and they're less than a fifth of the price), and I snagged two sets of BaubleBar earrings (one is already sold out, but finger's crossed they restock!).

So, without further ado, my Nsale haul:

I needed new jeans now that Evie's here (my hips didn't shrink back down, though the rest of me did), and asked my stylist to pull some options since I haven't shopped for jeans in a LONG time. As soon as I slipped into this high-waist, dark-wash pair from Rag & Bone, I was sold. Reader, I literally (yes, as in actually) sighed when I pulled them on. They're comfortable, stretchy, hug me in all the right places and don't feel tight even though they are. It was love from first wear.

The other pair that came home with me were these boyfriend jeans from AG. I love the mid-rise, the medium was, and the way they hug my hips and bum while relaxing just enough on my thighs and calves. G likes them even better than my Rag & Bone find, which is saying something!

I brought home two sweaters and a long-sleeved tee, too. The selling points for me? They could be dressed up or down, were incredibly soft, and reasonably priced. Finally, they can all be paired with shorts during the cool but not cold season, which makes them versatile enough to find a place in my closet (my tee is just $18, and available in 6 colors, the tie-front sweater is available in 6 colors too, and I sized up for the looser fit. The cardigan is under $50, available in three colors, and has pockets!!)

As to earrings, I couldn't resist the metallic statements from BaubleBar! I've been wearing the Crispin pair nonstop! The tassels are already sold out (!!!) but if they restock I'll let you know!

I couldn't leave the sale without a "one and done" piece, and I fell in love with this BP Jumpsuit! I love the way it fits and flows, and for less than $50, it was a great find.

One trend that started last year and is going so strong in shoes is the block heel. I love that the heels are staying chunkier so that you can be elevated while staying comfortable. The OTK boots this year have a lower heel, which I'm loving. I tried on a pair by Marc Fischer, which was awesome but had the (usual) ankle pooch because of the interior zipper placement, the Stuart Weitzman pair (on sale for $499! If you're looking to add SW to your collection, now is definitely the time), and the pair I decided to keep: the Steve Madden Gabbie. I love the Gabbie for a few reasons: 1) it has a zipper placed at the black of your ankle, so NO ANKLE POOCH!) 2) It hits me just a few inches above the knee instead of mid-thigh, which is much more flattering on my petite frame (I'm 5'2") and 3) It's currently less than $90 (i.e. less than 1/5 the SW sale price!). Win, Win, Win in my book. They run TTS and are currently still in stock in all sizes!

If I had to sum up the F/W'17 trends in one word, it would be "indulgent". The statement neutral of the season is metallics (silver, rose gold, and a warm honey tone), and that adds instant opulence to any look. The materials are all luxe (think suede, soft leathers, cashmere, and velvet), and any detailing is elaborate (there are gorgeous tassels, statement earrings, and embroidery everywhere!). If you have any questions on any of these pieces, please let me know! I'm happy to help. Just pop over here and send me a message!
