MIXED KNITS

It's refreshing to get back into styling looks after taking the holidays off to be with family. I came into January with a clear vision for the month: I don't want to grab a bunch of new pieces. Instead, I want to spend time remixing what I have for a few reasons.
1) The holidays are expensive, and we could all use a little remix inspiration to save some $$
2) I want to focus on basics, and creating a foundation wardrobe that can be accessorized to fit the season.
With that in mind, I pulled my favorite neutral booties, light distressed denim, and a knit sweater from the closet. I decided to pair this look with one of my favorite chunky knit scarves and some serious arm candy!

Jeans: Vigoss | Shoes: similar | Sweater: Express | Scarf: similar | Watch: c/o Timex | Cuff: c/o Daniel Wellington | Bracelet: Dior | Bag: Coach
I'm loving rose gold lately, and this piece from Timex was the perfect accompaniment to my Daniel Wellington cuff (both new additions from the holidays!). I love the subtle sophistication that this stack lends to the whole look.

A tip on mixing knits: I find that neutrals work best, and it helps if one knit is thick and the other thin. It adds textural interest instead of creating competition!

I'm looking forward to garage selling with G this weekend, and some more casual time spent pulling Evie's room together (still blows my mind that this little bump has a name!). I hope you all have happy weekend plans!
