TREND TUESDAY: METALLICS

This post contains affiliate links. Thank you for supporting those who support Simplicity & Coffee.

Metallics are my favorite. I love how they can instantly elevate any outfit, even a basic tee and some jeans. You've seen many of my favorites on rotation throughout the past year, including these two watches by Guess (rose gold and silver), these metallic pumps from Ssh-oes, and my silver mirrored sunnies (stunners!).

For this post, I went ahead and rounded up some of my favorite splurges - timeless pieces that will transition with you through the years - and steals, which I call "trend" pieces, and are all less than $100.

SPLURGE

1 Beats Studio Wireless in Gold | 2 Marc Jacobs Booties | 3 Guess Watch

I know! What are headphones doing on this list? Hear me out: Athleisure isn't going anywhere (thank goodness!) and a quality pair of headphones are the perfect, functional accessory for a laid-back look. I've owned and loved my Beats for a few years now, and highly recommend them. They're reliable, comfortable, and did I mention they match my iPhone? #winning. The booties JUST went on sale (!!!) down to $180 from their original $450. This seasons sillhouette and a stunning silver? Yes please. And finally my silver Guess watch. It's the most versatile piece of bling I own, and worth the slight investment.

STEAL

1 Madewell Knot Necklace | 2 Le Specs Halfmoon Magic | 3 Rebecca Minkoff Clutch

I chose this Madewell necklace because it can be adjusted to so many different lengths, and I've found it to be very versatile and fun to wear these past few weeks. I'm currently in the midst of a serious crush on Le Specs, and this pair comes in under $60. At just under $100, the clutch dances on the line of steal/splurge, but for a Rebecca Minkoff? I think anything under $100 is a well timed steal.

What are some of your favorite metallic pieces?
