BASIC & BACKLESS

I have a feeling backless will be big this fall, which is my justification for wearing it so much now (I'm an early adopter, y'all ;-) ). You know I've been obsessed with these cut-out tanks from Trouve (styled here, here, here, and here), and I recently also picked up this one with the open back and knotted detailing in grey.

Top: Trouve | Blazer: Trouve | Jeans: Guess | Necklace: Kendra Scott | Sunnies: Henri Bendel | Shoes: Similar

So, naturally, while I was shopping #Nsale earlier this month, I stopped by the Trouve section, and even though it was not on sale, this blazer came home with me. I fell in love with the simple pin-stripe, the classic yet relaxed lines, and the twist in the back which makes this blazer fit my "slightly edgy" criteria: It's open.

It just doesn't get more playful than this. To keep things clean and classic, I styled the grey open back top and blazer with my favorite jeans (raved about them here and here) and a pair of simple black pumps, which are a must-have for every woman in my opinion.

I can't wait for the weather to get cool enough for me to style it with skirts and dresses, too! For now, I'll just enjoy this pre-fall styling and look forward to the day it gets cool enough in Houston for me to actually wear it!

Sizing notes: I wear all xs in Trouve, and the fit is loose without being baggy. Jeans are 26", which I love in the low-rise. If you go mid-rise, you may want to size up.
