For this post, we're throwing it back to my time in Rome and this amazing Zara coat. It's big, it's cozy, and paired with the right pieces, it's perfect even if you're petite.
I think the most important part of making oversized layers work for you is to keep everything else very simple. For this look, I paired the coat with a grey trapeze dress from Express and my favorite OTK boots by Charles David.
Further helping the oversized jacket work on my petite frame is the monochromatic color scheme and the slight bit of skin between the boot and the dress. It elongates me, helping the large coat look like it's fitting just right on a not quite so short frame.
