Now that I'm a 30-something mom (my gosh. When did that happen?!), I have a different style than when I was dating G in my 20's. I don't have the time - nor the desire - for my outfits to require a complicated, multi-step process. I need simple, statement-making pieces that I can pull on and head out.

Honestly, Reader, my body has changed since being pregnant. While much of it is going (mostly) back to where it was, my hips are not shrinking. I've decided to take this opportunity to revamp my wardrobe, removing pieces I've had since college (omg), and adding things that support and speak to me now.

When I was in California two weeks ago, I went into All Saints for the first time (why did it take me so long!?) and stumbled across this beautiful silk-cotton blend top.

First off, you know I've been loving blush, so the color really spoke to me. Next, the material is so soft, so light, and so airy. It's perfect for the warm weather we have in Htown. But, finally, what sealed the deal were the lines!

This top has so much detail in the way it's assembled. The side slits. The hidden buttons. The perfectly proportioned collar. Everything about it speaks. It's a perfect "one and done" piece.

All I had to do to finish the look was slip into my favorite white shorts from Express (are you tired of hearing about them yet?? Seriously, I do not get paid by Express to talk about their clothes. I just love these shorts that much! So go get some! They're under $40, so they're a steal!) and my Vince Camuto booties.

I polished the whole thing off with my favorite rose-gold jewelry items and my Prada sunnies for an effortlessly chic, timeless, perfectly on-trend look. Exactly what I want my 30-something wardrobe to be.
