THE LITTLE DISC THAT IS A PERIOD GAME CHANGER
This post isn't sponsored by anyone! I just can't help but share when I've found something as life-altering as this little disc.
Spoiler alert: There will be TMI, and we are chatting about periods here, y'all. It's gonna be funny. It's gonna be real. And it's gonna change your life. Proceed with appropriate levels of caution (and maybe a glass of wine).
Periods. We've all been dealing with them for longer than we'd care to remember. For most of us, "that time of the month" comes with crazy bloating, intense cramping, an inevitable mess as our current method of catch-it-all fails, and inexplicable mood swings. If yours is anything like mine, we can add pain so bad you throw up occasionally during the first 24 hrs (so fun) and cystic acne to the list. Woo-freakin-hoo. I tried birth control, tampons, pads and menstrual cups. Nothing seemed to make a difference. It just all came with a different set of problems (in order: weight gain, leaking, just plain eww, and being sore from the little plastic "string" that sticks out and rubs your labia <- Told you there'd be TMI). Like most women, I figured this was just life. Something we all deal with. So suck it up, and keep on keeping on.
Then I saw this ad pop up while I was scrolling one night. This little disc claimed that it could reduce bloating, cramping, I wouldn't feel it, it would last up to 12 hrs, and I could have sex while wearing it. Um, I could have sex? Do you know how many times I've had to pass because it was that week? Not to mention the reduction of some of my least favorite symptoms. I've always bloated - gone up 1-2 sizes while on my period - and my cramps have been debilitating. I was willing to give this a try. Why not? None of the other methods were that great. My cup had been my favorite up to this point, but I still could only wear that 1-2 days before I was too sore to tolerate it. This disc looked like it had all the perks of the cup, but none of the rub (if you get my meaning). So I hit order, and gave the 8 disc bag a try.
That was 4 months ago. I'm hooked. I'm never going back. These past four months I would actually forget I was on my period. I have never leaked. Not once. They're crazy easy to insert, and if you're familiar with doing kegels, then it'll be no problem to get them out. The website cautions that there can be a learning curve, and they actually put you in touch with someone who's there to answer all your questions and send you the relevant How To info if you need it!
I honestly can't think of a single negative thing to say about the Flex disc. It's a find I wasn't looking for that has helped me reclaim a week of every month, and it's amazing. You can try your first month for just $13 at Flexfits.com. And as an added incentive, my followers can get 20% off with code SIMPLICITY20! Come on - join me in my cramp-free, extra-3-months-of-sex-a-year lifestyle change. What have you got to lose?
