STYLE | 3 SIMPLE WAYS TO TRANSITION YOUR WARDROBE INTO FALL

Some years I'm ready for it, and some years I want to hold onto the last days of Summer. But, however I'm feeling, the reality of transitioning from Summer to Fall fashion comes every year. I don't know why I find this transition to be harder than the Winter to Spring one, but I always find myself staring at my closet feeling like I have nothing to wear as Summer fades into Fall. So, here are a few simple ways I begin to tackle the transition each year:

1) LAYER IT UP

The weather likes to play games as the sun rises and falls during this transition. I love to wear layers so I can be comfortable no matter the temp.

Pro tip: Add something that can be tied around your waist to the look. That way, you've got an extra layer as the temps begin to dip. I love this cozy sweater as an option.

2) ACCESSORIZE

Fall feels = hats, booties, and scarves. Add them to whatever else you've got on for a look that says Fall no matter what the weather is.

Pro tip: Bandanas are the best transition accessory! Tie one around your neck, or your handbag, or your hair! The possibilities are endless. See my post on bandana styling here.

3) FOCUS ON COLOR

One of the hallmarks of the transition to Fall is the return of jewel tones. Rust, Amber, deep turquoise - they all mean cooler weather is here. Play with your pieces that have those tones to evoke the feeling of Fall.

Pro tip: Add these colors in through accessories! Jewelry is a great way to add those tones in to your lighter colored summer pieces. I especially love this necklace, these earrings, and this bracelet.
