Dress: c/o Seraphine | Shoes: Steve Madden | Bag: Coach | Bracelets: c/o Pura Vida | Sunnies: Le Spec
One of the companies I had the privilege of working with at the end of my pregnancy was Seraphine, a UK based company that makes some of the most transitional maternity pieces I now own.
I snagged this black maxi for a few reasons: First off, I love the pleats and the flowy top detail in the jersey. It makes for such an interesting twist on a basic black maxi. Another big bonus? This dress is also a nursing piece! So I've been able to wear this post-pregnancy, too. It looks great, is totally functional, and did I mentioned how grateful I am for a comfy maxi as this Houston heat starts to kick into gear?
As per usual, it's the accessories that make this look (check out my third trimester #dressthebump tips to learn more about why they're so important when you get to be pregnant AF!). Y'all know how much I love the Coach Rogue (I even own two!) and the grey suede adds instant sophistication to any look (even jeans and a t-shirt!). The mirrored Le Spec sunnies that I grabbed to (finally) replace my worn-out $3 sunnies from Walgreens are some of my favorite, especially since the frame is almost clear, letting the mirrored finish be the star. I also love my bracelet stack. I picked pieces that meant something to me, including the silver California charm and a clear "diamond" birthstone, representing the month Evie was born.
And how could I not talk about the shoes? They're Steve Madden (again!) and I tried to talk myself out of them, since the platforms *almost* fill the same space, but they were just too comfortable and I loved the elevation from the wedge, so I went for it! Honestly, they're even more comfy than the platforms, and that's saying something!
