I am so thrilled to finally be sharing Evie's nursery with you all! Truth be told, it's been decorated for a bit, but with her early arrival it took me a while to take photos!
The inspiration for her room was Neverland (not Peter Pan! Neverland itself). I wanted to keep the room's colors calm and in the same color family as the rest of our home, so we went with soft greys, beige, and white, along with rose gold and silver accents. I have to say, her room is one of my favorite spaces in our home.
The centerpiece of the room, and the inspiration from which everything else flowed, is the paper mache pirate ship mobile above her bed. I love the undeniable whimsy it gives the whole space.
The rest of the room has touches of Neverland throughout, including the nautically-themed curtain hardware, the rose-gold crocodile, and mermaid mirror.
I especially love this little corner, where her toy bin has a theme reminiscent of the indian village and the stool has what could easily be called mermaid scales.
G and I wanted a night light for nursing and diaper changes that was not your typical kids room light, so I made this rope letter sign for Evelyn, complete with string lights that flip on and off! The perfect addition.
Even the more functional pieces of her room are beautiful, like the silver knobs on the Ikea dresser which gives us TONS of storage, the wall unit holding all her diapering supplies within easy reach and the wooden crates housing her extra swaddles and books.
Speaking of diapering supplies, I have to draw your attention to our Ubbi diaper pail! We spent a lot of time deciding which diaper disposal system to get, and I'm so glad we went with Ubbi! The fun pattern is a perfect addition to her room, and the metal body ensures it doesn't absorb any odors the way plastic does! We use some odor blocking trash bags in it, and it's never smelled once!
