WHAT'S IN MY CARRY-ON?

As long as I'm prepared, I actually really enjoy flying. The uninterrupted space of time where I don't have anywhere else to be or anything specific to do. I just get to enjoy myself, rather it be for 1 hour or 10. It took me a while to get to a place where I knew what I wanted to have on hand to enjoy my time in the air rather than "get through it" to reach my destination, so today I wanted to share with you the items that make my flight time a relaxing, enjoyable experience!

1) SPA TIME

I love taking the opportunity to not wear makeup and give myself a mini-facial. My favorite so far are these patches from Decorte. They freshen and tighten my under-eye area up, making me look (and feel!) rested and refreshed after getting off my flight. Just put them on, let them sit for 20 min, then remove them and gently massage the excess gel into your face. It's the best.

2) HYDRATE

Drinking plenty of water is the biggest lifesaver when flying, especially since the air dries you out so much more in the plane. I always snag an aisle seat (because all that H2O means frequent bathroom trips!) and bring an empty water bottle to fill after security. I love this one and this one.

3) NOISE-CANCELING HEAD PHONES

These have been the best investment I've made for air travel, hands down. They're comfortable, blue-tooth enabled, and make it easy to relax by drowning out almost every sound around me (sometimes the high-pitched screeching of an infant will get through, but it's SIGNIFICANTLY muffled compared to without the ear phones!).

4) MEDIA

Rather you like your computer, an iPad, or just an eReader, make sure it's fully charged and ready to go with whatever you feel like doing on the flight. Movies and books are my usual go-tos.

5) IF IT'S A LONG FLIGHT

Then I bring the sleeping gear and some hygiene bits. Toothbrush and toothpaste, face wash, and my moisturizers are must-haves. I also love this travel pillow and this sleep mask. Being able to actually rest and clean up make the trip so much more enjoyable.

That's it! What do you always make sure to have in your carry-on?
