If there's one rule to having kids, it's that somehow slimy, sticky, squishy things will end up on all your surfaces. This isn't much of a problem in the kitchen, but in a place like the playroom, it can be a nightmare. Everything is soft and made of fabric. So when I heard about Lorena Canals through my contact at Dock A Tot, I was intrigued. Then she told me that everything is machine washable, and I was sold.
If you follow me on Instagram, you know that when everything arrived last week, I got SO EXCITED. I was hoping for kid friendly products, but what we got was so much more.
These beautiful, soft, plush fabrics are beautifully crafted and naturally dyed. I can't tell you enough how much I love the shade we got everything in called "neutral" - it's the sweetest, dusty pink, and plays perfectly with the greys and beiges I love. We even picked out a wall hanging, and I can't believe how sweet and simple it is - the perfect finishing touch for the space.
The big baskets are fun and functional - I love the way they hold everything Evie plays with, and that the soft sides collapse so her little self can still get to all her toys.
And, can I say again - it's machine washable. Apple sauce on the rug? Wash it. Cloud pillow gets sticky Yogurt Melty slime on it? Wash it. Smashed up who knows how many days old puffs in the blanket? Wash it!
As you can see, Evie loves the soft cotton fabric, and I love the quality, craftsmanship, beautiful colors, and that, when those inevitable messes come, I just wash it.
