PREGNANCY UPDATE: WEEK 15

I can't believe I'm already 15 weeks along. Well, most days. Then other days I can't believe I'm only 15 weeks along! Pregnancy is funny like that. The past week has had some amazing moments in it, though, and I'm thrilled to share them with you, Reader.

WHAT I'M FEELING:

This week, I'm feeling more accepting of the fact that I won't feel "normal" or "like myself" while I"m pregnant. Instead, I'm finding ways to love my new normal (as fleeting as each stage of the new normal is!). I'm also feeling pretty excited and enamored with our little girl (Yep! We're having a girl!), and had a blast sending out these adorable announcements with her name and a sweet little note to family and close friends. I also felt her move for the first time this week, and while it was only a quiet shuffle of little butterflies in my stomach, it's amazing to know she's in there and figuring out how her hands, arms, legs, and toes work!

WHAT I'M CRAVING:

Fresh veggies with ranch dip! I currently have carrots, snap peas, radishes, celery, cucumbers, and jalapenos sliced and ready for dipping in the fridge. I'm also still obsessed with citrus. Grapefruit, lemons, limes, and oranges are all on the daily rotation.

WHAT I CAN'T STAND:

I'm still so against chicken (gag!). Also, anything overly processed. Fast food just sounds really gross right now, as does anything super-sugary and pre-packaged/processed (though a good, fresh pastry is still something I indulge in regularly!)

FAVORITE PRODUCTS:

I outgrew most of my pants, so this week I went shopping and snagged a pair of maternity jeans from H&M Mama that I love, along with a pair of jeans from Vigoss one size up from what I normally wear (obsessed with them!). I also finally ordered some tanks and leggings from Blanqi, and can't wait for them to arrive next week!

My other current obsession is my Snoogle maternity pillow. I wasn't getting more than 2 hours of consecutive sleep until this wrap-around, squishy noodle of support came into my life. Now I sleep soundly through the night and wake up so rested! Even G loves it because I'm not tossing and turning, so he's sleeping better, too!

LOOKING FORWARD TO:

The holidays! I know that's not exactly pregnancy related, but I can't wait to see and experience the holidays with our extended families during this special time in our lives.
