PREGNANCY UPDATE: WEEK 14

Now that I'm feeling like myself again (I mean, I get to work out and not throw up! #winning), I thought it would be fun to share a little peek into my life with a weekly pregnancy update. Since Mondays happen to be the start of a new week in pregnancy progression for me, it works perfectly to do a short update to start the week off.

Today is week 14, and I'm officially out of the First Trimester (yay!). I won't share many details in this post about that time (though you'll see a good bit of what I struggled with during the weeks that were quite a bit harder than I expected in my Friday Faith series), but suffice it to say, it SUCKED, and I am so glad to be on the other side of the fatigue, nausea, and ridiculous symptoms my body decided to exhibit.

WHAT I'M FEELING:

Excited! It's so great to be feeling healthy enough to just be excited. Pregnancy has it's downsides (okay, a lot of those), but the 2nd trimester euphoria has begun to set in, and I'm ALL ABOUT the cute baby goodies and new pregnancy clothes.

WHAT I'M CRAVING:

Lots of citrus. I want lemons and limes in all my water, and I devour grapefruits like... well, like whatever devours grapefruit. I also am currently obsessed with garlic, jalapenos, apples, and halloween candy.

WHAT I CAN'T STAND:

Chicken! Which was one of my go-to staples pre-pregnancy. I can handle it (barely) shredded up in soups, but a piece of meat? Eww.

FAVORITE PRODUCTS:

I completely switched up my skincare as my body chemistry changed, and I'm currently obsessed with Tula's Hydrating Day and Night Cream, Mario Badascue's Drying Cream (it's the only thing that zaps this pregnancy acne over night!) and the Belli Anti-Blemish Facial Wash.

LOOKING FORWARD TO:

Getting back in shape! I was just cleared last Wednesday to work out again, so for the first time since getting pregnant, I'm back to my gym flow. I can not wait to regain the tone that I lost in my legs and arms, and to get my cardio going again.
