I've had a Bon Jovi song running through my head all weekend leading up to today (I may have even sung/danced to it on snapchat today: @simplicityandco) -

"Oooooh / we're halfway there"

I'm not going to say it's been easy, because it hasn't. It's taken more than I knew I had in me to be patient, loving, and as much myself as I could be these past twenty weeks. But I'm stronger than I knew, and I'm learning that strength means admitting to yourself when you're weak, letting others see your weakness and asking for help when you need it.

Excited! I love having a noticeable bump. It's so much more fun than the "I just look puffy, not pregnant" phase. I'm also still a little overwhelmed, but making the effort to consistently say "Nope; I'm waiting until after the holidays to really get into the-baby-is-coming mode, and that's okay".

Strawberries! And sushi. And oysters. And a HUGE sub sandwich. But I can only actually eat the strawberries, so those other cravings I will eat all at once with a dirty martini and several glasses of wine once Evie's here ;-)

Making decisions and/or answering questions after 7:30 PM. My brain disappears, and if you try to get me to use it, I have a serious pregnant-lady meltdown.

It (feels) near-impossible to drink enough water, and space it out evenly. Seriously. I'm surprised I ever have room in my increasingly squished stomach for anything besides the 70+ oz of water I consume daily. I've found water bottles with known capacities to be incredibly helpful. I really love this one from Etsy which holds 34 oz and is customizable (just drink one in the AM and one in the PM and I'm so close to my 70 oz!) or I use my bottle from S'well, which holds 25 oz (so drink 3! One every three hours) and keeps the water cold that whole time. I also recently picked up this comfy set of Calvin Klein loungewear to fit my growing baby bump and support my... ahem..expanding bosum.

Dressing the bump over the holidays! It may be my only pregnant Christmas ever, so I want to have some fun with the belly!
