THANKFUL

With today being Thanksgiving, I wanted to take some time to simply reflect and be grateful.

I'm grateful that this year marks the beginning of something I "wished for" when I blew out the candles at my 30th birthday: I wanted to start a family in a home with Gabe. In January, we were able to purchase our first house and start turning it into a home. And, as you all now know, we're getting ready to welcome our first child in May. I'm so grateful that our wishes turned into realities in such a short space of time.

I'm grateful that I have a husband who is in every sense of the word my partner. G supports my blogging efforts, encourages me in personal development, holds my hand in the tough times and is my biggest fan when I win. I couldn't do Simplicity & Coffee, pregnancy, or anything else without his constant, unwavering love and support. He is my best friend, forever lover, and I am so grateful that I get to wake up every day and be his girl.

I'm grateful for my girlfriends, old and new. Having moved so many times since being married (once a year so far!), I've learned to maintain old friendships when distance keeps us apart, and create new friends as we settle in to each new city. I couldn't be the woman I am, or grow into the woman I am becoming, without these ladies, and I am so grateful for each and every one of you.

Finally, I'm grateful for YOU. Reader, you have supported, enabled and encouraged me as I share more of my life & style through this platform, and I am so very thankful for each one of you. The kind notes, likes, shares, comments, and interaction - they all warm my heart and remind me why I do this. I write because I love to inspire and encourage women. What I didn't anticipate is how much you would in turn inspire and encourage me. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for being part of this journey with me. I couldn't do this without you.

Happy Thanksgiving.
