CUTE, CASUAL & CUSTOM WITH NIKEiD

One of the things I started thinking about as soon as we found out I was pregnant was cute sneakers. So many women have their feet grow not just during pregnancy, but permanently after (the horror!!!!) and I do not want to give up any of my current shoe collection (especially the designers shoes I started splurging on in my 30's!). I hear the cause of permanent foot growth is too much pressure on the arch of the foot when the relaxin (a hormone) has made the ligaments in your body loose (to prep it for accommodating a baby and labor). Since the ligaments are loose, the foot expands, and without something to support the arch, it flattens, and your shoe size increases.

This girl is not going to grow out of her D&G kitten heels! So consider this the first of several looks that will sport the cutest tennies I can find!

I'd been eyeing these NikeiD Internationalist sneakers for months, and this seemed like the perfect excuse for a splurge. I think my favorite thing about them is how customizable they are. I chose the color and material for every part of the shoe, making them exactly what I want and totally unique to me.

Top: Express | Bottoms: Express | Shoes: Nike | Sunnies: Henri Bendel

I also love the ability to add your own text to the heel! You only get 5 letters per shoe, so I had to shorten my handle to SIM CO, but I still love them! They're one of a kind, stylish, and comfortable as can be!

With all my customizations, this pair came in at $125, which I think is reasonable for any high-end sneaker, and such a bargain when that sneaker is fully customized!

What do you think, Reader? Will you be adding custom sneakers to your wardrobe this season?
