SHADES OF GREY

Like every 90's child, I wore lots of chokers. Lace ones. Plastic "tattoo" ones. Hemp crochet ones. But one thing I hadn't tried before is the bandana or scarf as a choker.

Jeans: H&M | Top: AE | Shoes: Steve Madden | Watch: Guess | Bag: Nordstrom | Sunnies: Prada

Confession time: The scarf I used for this outfit is the same scarf that Effie Trinket wears in Part I of the Mockingjay. I was able to go to the LA Premier of the film a few years back, and it was one of my red carpet goodie bag hauls. I hadn't had many excuses to wear it before, but I found that it paired perfectly with this look, and loved that it was a personal twist on the standard cowboy bandana.

As another nod to the cowboy vibe, I wore booties and a button-down, but kept everything chic and contemporary through my monochromatic color palette.
