LESSONS IN OUR (EARLY) 30'S - A REVIEW

This post is sponsored by the authors of Lessons in our (early) 30's. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

"We would be honored if you would provide a book review."

So began my interactions with Libby John and Jillian Kaiser, co-authors of the fun, interactive, educational, and unashamedly honest book Lessons in Our (early) 30's. Being a woman in my early 30's myself (31 and proud of it!), I was immediately interested in what this book had to offer, and it did not disappoint!

Jillian and Libby have been friends for years, and through this book they let us into their shared experiences, inviting us to grab some coffee and sit down for a real-life chat. The conversations range from funny to ridiculous to beautiful and gut-wrentchingly honest as they both share what their early 30's taught them about style, relationships, work, and everything in between.

One of my favorite things about the book is the way they integrate hashtags, giving their readers and opportunity to interact with them via social media as they move through the book.

I also loved the nuggets of wisdom they dropped along the way. From seeing yourself as "the main character" in you work environment to learning "calculated spending", they have advice that will bring "ah-ha!" moments to women getting ready for their 30's and women in the midst of them alike.

Underlying all the tips, tidbits, and great stories is the message that makes this book worth the read for every woman (you ready? I don't want you to miss this):

"We are powerful, capable women who should know our worth"

Did you catch that?

You are powerful. You are capable. You are worthy.

Don't forget that.
